So far this year, this my favorite photo… Ryan Flynn + Grant Taylor = epic!
I will be calling you Ryan for a print of this for my studio…
Ollies are probably one of the best feeling tricks in all of skateboarding. Just look a part from Keith Hufnagel, Reese Forbes, Jake Rupp, Ken Lieu, or Sean Mullendore from back in the days & say you won’t do that all day if you could! And these days, you can’t forget Grant Taylor… talk about snaps!!!
here is Sylvain working on his best Grant Taylor impression from a filming mission last week.

With the every changing way video content is going, I am always working with new media outlets looking for content. One of the latest clips I have had online is via the ESPN Skateboarding website with my good friend Michael Mackrodt. With the summer that is planned ahead, expect a few interviews of some of your favorite faces that I work with regularly to pop up on the site. I know I am hyped!
In the Skate Game, this guy has got me out of so many jams before. The letter H is a killer in it!
Lately when I have played, some of the new kids don’t think he is real. That is where a WiFi connection comes in to keep the game moving along. As for future reference, here is a photo Harry shredding it up… Ill layback, you know you caught yourself saying it.
As for you out there hurting for your H’s, add him to the list. It is a good one to have! With the new round of kids coming up, hopefully I will have a pair more names to add to the list. Now just don’t use him him before me in our next game!

The Relentless Big Air presented by Quiksilver was a pretty awesome experience this last weekend in Stuttgart. Going to my first city snowboard contest & watching kids throwing regular and switch 1080’s over this mega ramp that was easy 50 ft+ was ridiculous to see. If your threw a 720 (no grab) back when I was on the MASS Series in the mid 90’s, you were the ‘heisse Scheisse’! Kier Dillon was doing them on his 139 Burton ‘lunch tray’ on kicker a third the size in 1996/97. Oh how times have changed…
Here is just a sample of the madness from the weekend: a fs 900 styled out from Nitro Snowboard’s Anton Bilare. I do have photos from the rail section but that will be another blog post in the next days.
Thanks again to Relentless Energy for the invite to the contest. I really hope you invite me to some more snow events in the future! Back to this edit I go…
Adam Sello has just released his new issue of AnzeigeBerlin, his ‘zine of the Berlin skate scene. I was stoked Adam asked me to have a few pages in the new issue and I dug out some photos that have been sitting on my computer for the last few months. The photo of Jan Kliewer and Chris Haslam above was a gem that had to see the light of day and Anzeige was the perfekt outlet for it.
If you are not familiar with AnzeigeBerlin, check the new and past issues of the ‘zine on the link below.
Thanks again Adam and look forward to the first issue of 2012!

Welcome to 'Wooden Nickels' episode 10!!!
Welcome to ‘Wooden Nickels’ episode 9!
'Wooden Nickels' is back!!
Wow… what a throw back of foto Jerry. It is from 2001 I am correct!
It was shot on an Osiris tour to Spain/ Portugal with Tyrone, Jerry, Kanten, Adam Louder, myself, & Pat O’Dell from Epicly Later’ed was the photographer. What a crazy time that was since we were one of the first American crews to come through and nothing was blown out yet. Sants was fresh and only locals skating it. Macba… pre blow out! Kanten broke his board earlier in the day trying to Cab the 4 at Macba and then this was the next spot they took us to. Tyrone nollie hardflip manny’ed the block going down then Jerry started goofing off on the bank… aka… how this foto came into existence!
While we were here, Tyrone ran around the corner and took the rail of of the hubba that was near by. He proceeded to get 4 tricks in 10 minutes (all super gnarly actually) and Jerry bs 50’ing it then got super wrecked trying something else. I am shocked I remember this all still too! Osiris was the one of the gnarliest team back then to thinkabout it… Those were some fun days!!!
I need to dig up the tapes from this tour and a few of the others when I go back to the US next. The amount of tech & gnar going down on a regular basis was insane, Older skaters I meet all over the place still talk about some of our demos from back in the day… I love how this foto just brought all of this up!!!
Thanks to the kid who scanned this and posted it (and PandaPoo for rebloggin it), you just made my day!
